James August Weber has been a professional woodworker since 1976 and General Contractor offering Carpentry services in the Berkshires for over twenty years.

Teaching  Furniture Design and Building in Poughkeepsie New York led Jim to open a successful shop and retail gallery on Martha’s Vineyard which operated from 1979 until Jim moved to the Berkshires in 1986.

Working on the Vineyard also provided an opportunity to work on the interior of many fine sailing vessels.

In the Berkshires, Jim learned the craft of the Timberframer, building post and beam homes and log timber homes, as well as common methods of “stick framing”, while always applying the skill of the fine woodworker artisan.
